For about the last 5 weeks I haven't received any GPSfix updates when updating my One XL using Home. I thought that upgrading to Home v2.3 may fix the problem, but it hasn't.
Any ideas why?
My XL is running App v7.163

You could try deleting the contents of the "ephemeris" folder in C:\Documents and Settings\Andy\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Download
TT's usual advice when Home refuses to download things is to delete the ENTIRE "Download" folder |

Been faffing around for a few weeks now trying to get the quickfix data. "No items available" being displayed after updating using tomtom home. Deleted all the items in the specified folder as advised in this thread. Didn't think it would work, did a another update & it downloaded the quickfix data. No more waiting when i'm in a rush for a gps fix. Cheers! |

Hi Andy_P
Yes, Tomtom Home never ceases to puzzle me. Why do some folk have to follow the advice and delete yet others will never have the problem with the GPS Fix Update. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

With Home nothing surprises me...
All I can assume is that something gets corrupted or a "flag" gets set incorrectly which prevents Home doing any more downloads. Deleting them all lets it start again from scratch. |

How do you tell if you are getting the GPS fix data? I thought the GPSfix updated automatically in the background when connecting to TomTom Home... is it supposed to appear in the list of available downloads? If so, I'm not receiving it and have this problem too... is the solution for the 730T the same as above? |

Yes, the quickgps fix should appear in the list of downloads and the fix that Andy_P posted above works for all tomtom models. _________________ Paul |

I have added the "ephemeris" folder to the custom cleaning list in "Ccleaner" and this seems to take care of it automatically.
