I have for some time been struggling with the Colorado and Oregon, as I wear varifocals and I find the Icons difficult to see during navigation.

Both units do not have the icons 'named' as other units do, so you have to rely more and more on the 'Zonned database' for a speed value after the initial visual warning.

I have played around with the Database Icons and the fantastic option from GerryC, but the biggest size I can use is 24x24.

However, today I tried these - any comment?

.
The square are Mobile units[new] and the round are Gatso[existing database]

....
.
The pmobile are the existing database and the speed value is soooo small! I am working on those. Very Happy

Why not change the colour and make them like the proper mobiles?

Thank you for your suggestion.
Is this what you meant?

...

The most important are the mobiles [Black]
The less important are the pmobiles [Blue]
The specs I will now make in yellow.
Gatso are as downloaded
They are 24x24.

They are far more 'visual' for people my age!

So far these have been loaded to the unit.
They should work in the Colorado and the Oregon.

Edit:- to add MaFt's suggestion

Yes - whatever colour best suits your vision. I'd be tempted to make the Specs round ones - so you've only got two shapes and two colours in each. (And specs are a little bit fixed anyway).

I'm lazy so it was easier to use the same square template for all three types Very Happy

I'm delighted with the visual results.
Old Icons - New Icons

how about just a 'V' instead of 'VAR'? the VAR looks a bit smaller than the rest and if the idea is for clarity...?

do you get any overspeed warning on this unit?

Perhaps make the writing yellow rather than white in the 'mobile' ones.
