New NavCore v8.020.9547 for One V2?

Hi everyone,

I have a One V2, and I did my normal update through TomTom HOME today - it wanted to update my NavCore to v8.020.9547 (51.2 MB package I think?)

Does anyone know what that's about and what the version is? I have already Googled and nothing comes up at all. Smile

Since I have a backup, I did try to install, but comes up with an error:

TIA for help... I really want to get hold of the navcore_8.020.9547.one2008.cab file so I can try this NavCore out on my One V2 to see if it's any good.

Does anyone in this forum have it??

Kind of a bump, but has anyone else in this forum ever come across the navcore_8.020.9547.one2008.cab upgrade file?

Go back to the original post and simply click the URL link, this should offer a download direct to your PC, I have no way of checking what the software offered actually is, but it will download from the provided URL - Mike

Looking at the file name "8.020.9547.one2008.cab" it would seem to imply that this software is intended for the new 2008 One models, not the "New/Second Edition One" which is what I guess you have.

Thanks for that - the file does seem to be there now!

I'm guessing a Tomtom glitch caused it to come up for my One v2? Rolling Eyes

I downloaded the cab, and it has an iFlytekTTS folder included - I've never heard of this TTS before?? I thought Tomtom only uses Loquendo and Vocalizer.

This seems like a bit of a weird Tomtom release as no One unit uses TTS afaik? (probably wrong on that).

There are US-only versions of the One and XL that have TTS.

TomTom One XL.S - the older version
TomTom One 130.S
TomTom XL.330.S

Thanks for the info, that makes sense.

I bet those things ground to a virtual halt trying to run TTS on top of everything else... unless iFlytek is lightweight on resources somehow. Smile
