Longer answer....
Maps can be bought (as a download) from the TomTom website:
http://www.tomtom.com/products/maps/select.php
or via the TomTom PC/Mac utility program "Home" (downloadable from HERE).
To actually download and install the map, you have to use Home, but some slightly older maps are also available on SD card from the webshop.
Depending on what software you are running, you may need to update that too (you need v7 software to run v7 maps for example). This is free and is also done using Home.
The one confusion you may encounter is that there are two versions of Home available on the page I linked to above (new on the left, old on the right). You may need to update the software "part-way" with the older version of Home, before the newer one can update you to the latest version.
I'm not sure if it is available for your model yet, but TomTom have just launched a new map subscription service, which can work out cheaper than a single purchase! See other posts in the TomTom forum section (or ring TomTom) for more details on that and to see if you can get it yet. |
