Having added the speed camera database and John Cleese to my T730t there is now only 256Mb of space left on my TomTom.
As my previous TT only had an internal drive I have never had to consider the best way of storing maps, pictures and photos.
Any advice on the best way of organising the data and the best disk to use gratefully received. |

Your device can use the storage card and the internal memory at the same time so get a good quality High Speed memory card, if you intend using it to store maps stick to 4GB if it is only for mp3 and pictures 8 or 16GB will work fine, the device does support the newer SDHC type cards which opens up quite a selection to consider - I use an 8GB Peak type 6 card for music in my 930 - Mike |

Ive found an SD card and installed it (taken from a Fuji camera).
Windows finds the card and TT home finds it but when I select Music and media; Photo gallery; there are only the default images.
How do I tell the TT to look on the alternative drive (SD card)? |

You have to make a folder called mp3 (lower case) on the sd card then place the music files in this folder.
place your photos in a folder called photos (lower case again)
Tomtom will now find them

Renamed mp3 and music folder and it then managed to find hte audiobooks for the first time.
I renamed that and it cannot find anything.
Presumably this must be the type of SD card despite TomTom home wanting to update it.
Any thoughts gratefully received. |

? I don't understand that bit! You renamed it and it worked or you renamed it and it didn't?
