tomtom ONE v2 w europe
recently upgraded map to v7.20.
now my speed cam warnings (pgpsw) seem to warn even when the camera is on the other side of the road (not always but a lot of the time). i have the settings to only warn when on route.
has anyone else experienced this after an upgrade. it never used to do this on v6.75 maps.
also since this upgrade the screen seems to refresh more jerkily and especially when sharp turning left or right, the car icon appears to leave the road momentarily.
any ideas???
many thanks.

Pretty normal behaviour, I'm afraid.

As for it picking up more "off route" cameras than it used to, I definitely noticed it too, but I think it is more likely the software update from v6 to v7 rather than the map itself.
Also you will pick up more cameras that are just off slip roads as if the entire junction is now included in "on route".

Also the v7 software seems to work older machines harder, so the screen refresh is not as fast.

hi andy
def think you're right about v7 software working the unit harder. i was using a non tomtom car charger (cos i preferred the curly cable) with v6 and it charged the unit fine. once i upgraded to v7 the unit worked ok but the battery was not being charged properly, to the extent that within 4-5 mins of unplugging from the car the battery would be dead. reverting back to the tomtom charger, which is rated much higher, the battery was fully charged as normal.
