Hi does anyone out there know the methodology behind TomTom re-routing calculation when a delay is received via TMC/RDS. For instance if a delay of 55mins is shown and you choose to minimise the delay what happens if the situation on your original fastest route changes for the better? Will the device re-route again to provide the fastest journey time? Or do you carry on blissfully unaware that in fact you could have rejoined the motorway. |

Thanks again Mike. I suppose I will have to get the expert navigator who sits in the passenger seat to try for the fastest route periodically. On second thoughts,,,, I won’t! |

Not sure of the answer to your original question but you can set Traffic to sound a warning when the delay on route changes - you could then do a re-calc. The delay time should also change in the traffic route display so you should be able to see how much the delay has decreased/increased. _________________ Alan
