|
|
I am new to sat navs and I have just bought TomTom 730T (deliberate choice - needed Eastern Europe maps included, as well as Western).
I have been trying to set up the wireless data connection and ran into some problems. Just to start with - I have internet allowance on my phone and I am using it to access the internet.
First - my TomTom doesn't have Sony Ericsson W660i listed with the phones. So, I selected 'other'.
The country - UK, the mobile phone provider - '3'. And then it can't finish the job as it can't establish the connection or something. I get an option to do it manually and following TomTom's support instruction, I manage to do it by entering the settings manually.
But then, if I try to check the traffic or any other of TomTom's Plus services (i.e., weather) it can't establish the wireless connection after long try. The phone is connected and the bluetooth is on, and the phone is always close to TomTom.
Anyone else had a problem with this?
We were driving around the Lancashire today and I had both the RDS TMC and my phone connected to the device and it didn't seem like it was getting any traffic updates. Is it normal?
And the last question - I connected my TomTom to computer yesterday and now in my TomTom account it says 'TomTom Traffic - 1 year subscription'. And just below - Valid until 16-06-2008!!!!! How is that one year? |

Is a problem about Sony-Ericsson phones:
1.http://www.tomtom.com/support/solution.php?GID=1&PID=2027&SID=0&CID=217-221&Language=1&FID=3630
DO NOT WORKED FOR ME.
2.http://www.tomtom.com/support/solution.php?GID=1&PID=2027&SID=0&CID=217-221&Language=1&FID=3326
DO NOT WORKED FOR ME.
Try to do this. It worked for my W660i and my Go 530 finally!!!
1.Download latest settings for your cell from (if avaible):
http://www.three.co.uk/
2.Download WAP GPRS settings from:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/detailed/phonesetupwap/w660i?cc=gb&lc=en
After 2 days seeking for information today my TomTom Traffic works after completing step 2!!!
Sorry for my poor english!!! |

I'm afraid I've nothing to add to this thread except to say welcome to the forum, aavvaallooss, and please don't apologise for your English. It's very good. Better than we get from some of the English-speaking posters! _________________ Anita
