I have a traffic subscription that I was using with my PDA/TT nav 5 sw. Now I have upgraded to a TT930 and want to use the traffic subscription. I have reset my traffic account on the TT plus services / traffic page and the device shown under "my device" is the new one. I have set up what seems to be a working connection (and TT 2nd line say they can see I have connected to the server), but I get the following message...

TomTom Services
This content was bought for another
device and cannot be used on this
device. To use it on this device, go to
www.tomtom.com and visit the
TomTom Services page.

I am waiting for a response from TT 2nd line (said they would get back to me yesterday), in the mean time do any of you knowledgeable folk have any ideas? Latest from TT when I tried to get an update today was to run the "Clear flash tool" followed by a reset etc - what does that do? Sounds like clutching at straws, but what do I know?

if I use the run the "Clear flash tool" followed by a reset, do I loose some of my settings - if so, is there a particular file I can re-instate from my back-up to retrieve them? Thanks

Hi,

Yes!, You should take a copy of your MapSettings.cfg file, found in your map folder, this holds all POI warning /show/ settings, colour settings, favs, recent, etc.

For traffic ( i think ) you need traffic.dat and traffic.inc i dont use it so im not certain.

Hope that helps.
