| trying to download POI files for UK but unable to with error message saying 'file invalid or corrupt' -anyone have an answer? |

Hi there. It might be helpful if you could say which device you have and which POI files you are trying to download. Certainly, I downloaded a new batch over the weekend and had no issues at all.
Give us any error messages you receive and describe what you are doing and then one or many of the folks here will try and help, I'm sure.

If you have been choosing multiple files from different categories to download this can sometimes cause the problem 
Try just doing a few at a time
