No Sound nor Postcode recognition GO 930

Hi,

I am new to this forum and I just would like to say Hi to all users.

I have recently purchased a new tom tom go 930 and I have updated it recently with the new update from tom tom.

Now I have two problems:
A.)
The TOMTOM used to make a noise when i went past a speed camera and now it doesnt any more.

B.)
I was also able to enter the full 7 digit postcode before and now i am not able anymore. The Numbers shine up in grey so i can enter them but it wont let me put in more than 3 digits!

Anyone had the same problems?

Set-up for the TT-supplied camera data is done in Main menu page 3/TomTom Plus Services/TT Safety cameras/Enable alerts followed by Change warning preferences. Just set them up how you prefer.

Postcodes should be handled by a folder on the TomTom called "zip" and in there should be a file called "Great_Britain.postal" and "Great_Britain.postal.ver". Please connect the TomTom to your PC and browse the contents with Windows Explorer (not Home). Tell us if you find those files (or if you need further help doing this).

You haven't mentioned having made a backup BEFORE you tried updating. Did you? Please, as a matter of urgency, make one now (again using Windows Explorer, not Home) following the instructions in #1 of the FAQs HERE

Have you also tried a RESET?
