Try a reset (soft/hard) of the unit. Or,
If you made a backup of your satnav files before this, now's probably the time to reload them and start again! (If you haven't, make sure you ALWAYS do in future when loading any software/data.) Or,
If you have recently purchased this unit, see if the retailer can reset the software. I got this message/problem (not because of the camera database) a long time ago, and it didn't happen again afterwards. Or,
Contact the Garmin help desk.
You may get better advice, but this might do for a start. You shouldn't have got this if you loaded the files as instructed - can you say more precisely what steps you went through and any messages you got? _________________ David

Shame - I would suspect a fault. When I had a C510 I never had trouble with loading the camera database. Was the fault on your previous unit the same and also after downloading the database?
As a matter of interest, had you loaded the database successfully onto this unit before? What format did you choose when downloading it (eg consolidated, by type) and how many other sorts of POIs had your unit got on it? There may be a capacity limit which can screw up a Garmin unit (certainly is on an i3). Also Did you use ASH10's Camera Utility, or do a direct download from PGPSW? If you can give more details, someone on the forum who knows more about database downloading may be able to help you.
But certainly get Halfords to help while they still will! _________________ David

I've found a thread which suggests you certainly can overload a C510 with POIs:
Quote: | POI download limit on streetpilot C310 |
There are references in some others, also with a couple of suggestions of how to recover and reduce number of POIs.
Quote: | Garmin Testing - THE RESULTS |
A search could throw up more info if you want
(There is also a file which should be on the unit, containing the Unlock code. Losing that also gives rise to the message you got as well. So if you are still searching (!) after trying other routes, you ought to be able to ferret out the references on this site. I think it's maybe somewhere to do with a discussion on Text-To-Speech voices on Garmin, possibly connected with the C510, but I can't be sure now.) _________________ David
