Broken voice after update?

Have recently updated my TomTom Go Classic to version 7.163 and managed to install the new car cursors (after hours not realising it had to be in 3d mode!) but now have an issue with the voice. Have John Cleese installed and whereas he used to say 'after 400 yards take the next left...' he now says '400take the next left' all the 'after' words and words such as 'in 500 yards..' seems to have disappeard.
Other voices still work fine (e.g. Liz) and have reinstalled JohnCleese from a working backup but no joy!

Anyone any ideas on how to get him back to his full sentences?
