GO 930, 8.010
New in 8.010 is a value in ° (degrees), to the left of the speed. Could not figure out what it means. Does anyone know?
In the version 8.002, at the same place was displayed "0m" (zero meters); under special circumstances, the value displayed was something which could have been the altitude.

its degrees i.e. your current heading, the earlier 0m should have been height but I never observed that working! - Mike |

Having speed and compass direction in degrees was what we always had before the v8 software and the x30 models.
So what you are seeing is a return to normal. |

But worth remembering that this is enabled via the "Show in Taskbar" option (or whatever they call it).
And if you tick ALL the options, it is one tick too many for what you can actually show all at once.
And conversely, if you disable one option, it's usually this one, the "Direction" option, as the rest usually prove more useful or needed for people.
So as a result, you likely still don't get to see direction data in NC8 |

Ahh, originally my post began "Assuming you mean on the 'GPS status' page....", but then I realised it said that in the topic title.
I'd forgotten there was an option for direction display on the status bar. |

Shad, you are 100% correct in your observation. That's why it's so irritating that TT screwed up this functionality. |

Aw shucks, thanks.
Seriously though, given the list of handy items you can show, but that you can only show a maximum of however many it is, minus one, the direction one is invariably always going to have to be the poor lesser cousin, that will always suffer by being turned off, as it's fair to argue the rest of the list is stuff you do actually need for decent navigation, as opposed to "would like to see".
Oh well, that's progress for you.
And Andy, oops, sorry mate, trust me to be the source of trouble |

Of course, pre v8 we always had the compass option that could show all of this too. So it wasn't so neccessary to have it on the Status Bar.... |
