hello i am a bit of a newbie to in car gps ( last venture was a garmin trex ) I rememebr watching on tv a few years ago about pois that give you descriptions of themselves - to break the boredeom on long motorway journies ( ''what is that bulding on the horizon?) where can you obtain this?
also can you input photos on the 720 to act as pois ??

You might be thinking of the "Tour Guide" facility on Garmin models.
That can be set to automatically give a spoken description of an attraction as you get within a few miles of it.
It is also possible to install POIs with photos and full descriptions but I'm not sure if this is something you can easily do yourself..
There is nothing like that available for the TomTom models at present.
