I can anyone please help, I have a Tom Tom 700 with software version 7.162. When using my daughters Tom Tom one I am able to display the speed limit of the road I am driving on as well as my current speed. I have selected speed on the status bar and also selected show maximum speed next to speed also in the status bar, but all I seem to get is my actual speed and not any road speed limits. Any help would be appreciated.

| What map version have you got on the 700 as only maps after a certain release date will contain the speed limit information - Mike |

Tap the Satellite graphic (bottom of screen) and then tap the box containing the Software Version.
This displays a screen of information about the Device, including the Map.

it is western_europe-map v568.0
the sat nav is about 2yrs old now.

Therein lies your problem, your map is rather old. The road speed data came in only recently with later releases of v6 mapping. You would need to buy a current/more recent map to have this facility.
