Garmin TMC

Hi

Does anyone know if the garmin tmc's can receive and display anything other than traffic flow alerts in the uk?

I have a kenwood 7200 with a garmin gtm10 attached and was wondering if ill ever see any roadworks or accident traffic alerts etc? All i see so far is traffic flow alerts?

Oh and the signal is very good so far in my area (Worcester) I read lots of people have signal issues?

My nuvi 660 with GTM21 has shown traffic flows, roadworks and closed roads to my knowledge. It displays different icons on the 'traffic map' screen for these events.

Thanks for the replys.

I know the GTM10 can recieve and display different alerts i was just wondering if in the UK these are broadcast via Trafficmasters system which garmin use with this device?

I would have thought there may be some roadworks on the M6 near me which would be displayed but i have not seen anything but flow/ conjestion alerts so far.

Ive emailed TrafficMaster so will see what they say.

Having had nothing but problems with the Traffic device on a TomTom 910 (and this was with draping the aerial all over the dashboard) I was astonished at how sensitive the aerial is on the Nuvi 760.

The first time I used my purchase (760) on Tuesday I just dropped the traffic aerial down beside my driving seat as I assumed that it would not work (like the TomTom). I was amazed to see a little icon appear on my map and to find it was traffic info. And this is with most of the aerial on the car floor under my legs!.

I have a GTM 10 that I use with a StreetPilot 2720, it reports traffic congestion, roadworks and accidents all with a different icon and three levels of severity.
