Installed POI loader onto my PC (Intel, XP sp2, norton 360) but the 'buttons' on the bottom right of the initial dialogue box do not appear. Only the Garmin 'splash' and 'Welcome to POI loader etc' appear. I've unloaded and reloaded. Removed from registry, downloaded again and re-installed. Still same problem. It works on my laptop OK!! Tried Garmin Support who told me 'POI Loader works on all Pc's...there is something wrong with your PC'! Confused

Had a look through these forums and nothing leapt out suggesting anybody else has had similar problems. Has anyone? Would really like to get this solved if anyone has any ideas. Thanks in advance!

Check the screen resolution on the troublesome PC and see if you can increase the screen pixel size, does this alter what you see? - Mike

Another cause of this is microsoft office toolbar and/or the start menu bar being docked to the side of the screen.

you may need to disable the ms office toolbar from startup and try again

Unbelievable! My taskbar was docked to the top of the screen. Moved it to the bottom and, 'hey presto', POI loader works! Many, many thanks. I might just let Garmin support know this solved the problem... Laughing

Of course, it now raises the question of why does the location of the taskbar affect the loader.....! Another day!

Again, thanks
