Free Speed Camera ONLY Software - Any ideas

Hi

I have and XDA Stella (Tytn II) and really only need to be notified where speed cameras are, does anyone know of any FREE/Low Cost speed camera software to use in conjunction with the database from pocketgpsworld?

Edit: unless by "database from pocketgpsworld? " you mean the POIs database, in which case there is the PGPSW Speed Camera Database, only £19 a year and it has the following benefits - Click here

I may have missed something here, my understanding is that the database is basically a POI file for and application to make use of. I have no application (as far as i am aware) to make use of this, and was looking for a speed camera alert 'system'. I already have SAT NAV built in to the car but it doesnt have speed camera warning. I now have a TYTN II which may fill that gap.

New to this so may be talking out my Razz

I'm sure someone can come along and fill in the gaps here, but yes the database is a collection of POIs and i'm sure others have the database running on the same equipment you described here. You may need other software but i'll leave it to someone else who knows more.....

GPS Speed Sentry is a great PPC application that will do what you want, try a search for it as I wrote a review of that software a while back which is available to read on this site.

It uses the PGPSW database and is very good in use as it offers considerably more functionality than just camera warnings and costs very little indeed, a quality application at a bargain basement cost - Mike
