Hi, have just bought a Navigo all-in-one Sat Nav from Ebuyer at £60 to replace my now defunct Acer N35 (the usual connector problem). The unit works fine as it is but I read in the customer reviews that someone had TT6 running on it so as I had all of my TT6 files from the N35 on the old SD card I thought I'd give it a go.
All that seems to be required is to rename the TomTom folder and exe files to be mobilenavigator instead. This starts and works fine on the Navigo, picks up GPS signal etc but there are no voice files selectable.
If I put the exact same SD card into an Axim X50v (which does not have any sat nav software installed) then it works fine, including the voices.
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing the problem on the Navigo?
TFYH

Interesting. I had an empty voice folder there but copying voice files there does seem to work. I wonder why it works on the Axim no matter where they are?
Either way it is now perfect - many thanks.

Hi.

1st post & new to all this GPS stuff as well.

I bought the same unit as you reddevil and got navigator 6 to run fine from a separate SD card.

The thing is on this forum I've seen a few posts about navigator 7 and how it won't be available.

As it's a new version of navigator does this mean that we wont get Speed cam updates and up to date maps anymore?

Cheers.

The Navcore 7 software is only available to run on the TomTom PNA devices which are Linux based devices, your unit is Win CE based so will only run TomTom Navigator which is currently at version 6.

The latest maps are not available for you to use as they are specific to the version 7 software (soon to become version 8 following the announcements at CeBit) - whether we ever see a version 7 or 8 PDA based software release from TomTom is anyone’s guess.

Rest assured though the speed cameras and their associated alerts will work with any version of TomTom navigator version 5 or 6 - Mike
