720T not "seeing" TMC antenna anymore - Help

Hi,

I have had a 720T since Christmas (with V13 antenna) and most of the time have been getting a TMC signal in Dorset & along south coast.

Problem 1. This week however the GO720T doesn't recognise that the TMC antenna is connected. I've done a proper restore of the software from the PC (not relying on TomTom home) and made sure registry and all related programme and "my docs" folders / files were deleted; so it's all back to original and have also done a system reset, but to no avail. No sign of a problem with connections and I've even tried a separate v13 antenna from a friend with no luck. Any ideas?

Problem 2. I now have Home v2.2.0.33 on the PC but it's telling me there are no updates at all. I have an existing (expires Jul 08) traffic and speed camera subscription that were linked to my previous GO500 but which transferred successfully to the 720T, but now nothing. Any other ideas on this one?

Have you actually reset the device using the reset switch on the base of the device, do this but hold the reset switch for 30 seconds, then try connecting the RDS-TMC.
As you have the subscription Traffic service why are you using the RDS-TMC? - As for TomTom Home not offering updates I am afraid I don't use the camera service from TomTom as I have found it to be very inaccurate, someone else will have to answer that one (I have just tried updating TT Home and it has downloaded/ installed 2.2.0.33 so it looks like you have the latest version that is currently available).
