Anyone actually got one for the 5500 series yet - just interested to know how the speaker plugs in? |

Look at the Seidio site, the new picture shows the jack plug built into the base unit. |

The 3rd photo on http://tinyurl.com/3blbn shows you (but not very well IMHO).
I'm thinking of getting one. But some of the posts on here are putting me off |

Just received and installed the G2500 for my iPaq 5550. Good fit and good sound output. I am quite impressed after reading some of the bad comments about earlier versions for other PDAs.
However, the power cable they sent me for my Navman 4400 does not fit. I have emailed Seido and am awaiting a reply. |

Have also just recieved my G2500 for my 5550 and the speaker jack was just hanging off the casing by the wires. I haven't tried it in the car yet - but although I am impressed by the look of the 2500, the build quality is very suspect!
Can anyone who has this model please tell me (or better still post a detailed photo) of how the speaker jack actually connects to the housing, because I can't see any clips or anyway to connect it? (I can't even see how it would be glued in !!)
[I can't be arsed sending it back and all the hassle that entails because I'm basically just lazy)
Cheers |

oisky,
I would post a picture, but I can't find my digital camera at the moment! The jack appears to be glued into a molded hole in the base at the correct point to line up with the socket on the iPaq. |

i.e. moulded.
I thought that the facility to edit one's own posts was supposed to have been re-introduced? I can't see it. |

I also received my 5450 Seido and the spk jack is fixed inside the unit, however it looks as if it has been glued into base of the unit with part of the jack plug exposed on the outside of the Seido.
Have connected my PDA and yes the sound works, however seems a problem with the unit recharging from the cigarette lighter, unit shows a green light on the Seido but does not connect properly to the PDA have asked Seido for tech support and as yet no answer to two emails about the problem. |
