The UK and Republic of Ireland map on my unit is v710.1571, when the updates appear in Tomtom home its telling me there is a map update available which is v6.75! Is this wrong or am I missing out on something here?

I think I know what might be going on....
Did you once buy the v6.75 map, but you no longer have it on your machine or on your PC (at least, not in the place TT Home expects it to be)?
If so, Home is trying to be helpful and reminding you that you still "own" that map and can re-download it if you wish.
The same thing happened to me when I'd bought a v6 UK map for my old Go300 which then blew up.
Long after I had a new 720 with v7 Europe maps, Home still wanted to give me the UK map again.
It finally gave up exactly a year after I bought it! |

Could that be confirmed by looking at TomTom's website in Plus Services. If I go there it tells me that I'm entitled to download 710 for the next year. |

If TomTom have assigned a new map to your account for any reason (e.g. if you bought one) then it will appear in "Update my Device".
If you already have the map downloaded and/or installed, it appears in "Add maps, Traffic,Voices etc." |
