Could anyone please advise me on what distance to set the camera alerts, as the default is set at 300 yds on all speeds for my 520.
Thanks

On my current Navman unit,I have mine set at the following:

Gatso/Truvelo.400 yds.
Mobile.1 Mile.
Possible mobile.1 Mile.
Redlight.200 yards.
Specs.400 Yards.
Temporary.400 yards.

With the fixed ones,it's not that critical in my opinion,to have large distances,whereas with mobile ones,I think it is,because if your doing 70 mph,and the camera is located in an area with a lower speed limit,you need time to slow down so as you don't fall within the police radar range,because it's amazing how many of them are just inside the approaching limit.

I will set the same ranges on my new unit,once I decide what I'm buying,and I get my camera updates via PGPS speed camera database,in order to keep it bang up to date.

Have a scan through the setup guide for the 910, towards the end is a look up table for distances relative to speed and time, you will find it Here

Alternate method is the x10 rule i.e.

30MPH = 300 Yards
50MPH = 500 Yards
70MPH = 700 Yards

Add 50% to the above figures for Mobiles if you want further advanced warning - Mike
