|
|
I thought I'd do some polling to see what experiences all MapShare users on the forum have after some timing of using the service.
So the question is:
For those of you that have requested feedback on your map corrections by filling in an email address in TomTom Home, did you receive any feedback sofar? If yes, how long after you submitted the map error did the feedback message from TomTom arrive?
I realize that it takes some time for TomTom to do a proper verification of submitted map updates but it would still be interesting to know if any map updates have been accepted at all.
I have requested feedback from TeleAtlas every time I reported map errors on the Map Insight site for the last couple of years but have never heard a whisper back. Not very encouraging....

You put TomTom and feedback in the same sentence.

Hmmm...that's what I was kind of expecting to hear. Let's hope someone can improve the statistics with some good experiences! |

Don't hold your breath.
I just had a thought , two world class icons in their fields
TOM TOM and EBAY.
Now if they merged wouldn't that be a corker. |

I think I've had emails like that in the past, but not for a long time.
I just sent another few corrections today and the feedback box is definitely ticked in Home, so I'll see what happens. |

That was 2 days ago, the last time I connected with updates to go to TomTom, been getting them on a regular basis. _________________ Graham.

Nothing here either. I’ve only submitted within the last week as I just bought the device, but I thought I would at least get an acknowledgment of the submission. Is there anyway to see the changes you have submitted? |

I guess the only way to can get acknowledgment is to ask people on this forum for specific map updates, i.e. if they can see the updates you have submitted. |

Yes at least thanks to this site there is that option. However, I think all my updates so far have been in categories that do not instantly update on the map, but have to go through Tom-Tom. It would be nice to go to my online Tom-Tom profile and get a list of all the changes my device has submitted. I’m now at the stage where I see something wrong and can’t remember if I submitted the change already, and that’s only after a week! |

Admitedly, my first correction got that patronising email.
But since then not a whisper.
Mind you , i did see the tardis in orbit over my house tonight.
And all i did was tell them my home location was blocked by a mosque. |
