Tried a search but didn't find anything. Just trying to find out how useful the 920 will be on a long walk - running just on the battery. Anyone had actual experience of how long it will last?

Any ideas of external battery packs to extend the life?

it runs for about 3hrs in normal use. There are a number of accessory battery packs that have a USB flylead that would suffice but nothing purposely designed for the 920 as its not really intended for walking use.

TT reckon "up to 5 hours", but this will be reduced if either Bluetooth or FM transmitter are switched on.

TT say HERE:

Volume: 30% Change preferences - Volume preferences - Volume = 30% or lower

* Battery saving preferences: ON Change preferences - Battery saving preferences - Turn off screen between instructions
* FM Transmitter: OFF Change preferences - Speaker preferences - Select internal speaker for instructions & music
* Light sensor: OFF Change preferences - Brightness preferences - Deactivate both options at the bottom
