Hi I have had to reinstall my Yakumo pocket pc (Same as the mio 168) with the tom-tom software it has microsoft 2003 mobile loaded. I have reinstalled checkpoint 3.2 (I do not know if this was the same version I had before) when I try to use tomtom & checkpoint I get a message saying "To many POI files - loading aborted". I have tried several times but no good . Any help I would appreciate

Richard, Which version of TomTom are you using? CheckPOI 3,2 is for use with TomTom version 3 the various versions of the software and an explaination of compatability can be found on This Page.
If you are using TomTom 5 or 6 you can use the inbuilt POI warning system and still get spoken alerts - Mike |

Have a look at the map folder and count up how many files end with the file extension .ov2 (these are the custom POI files) - if it won't start because there are too many you might have to remove them all and try adding them again just incase a file has become corupt.
It is quite a while since I used that application, I have a set-up guide which I will e-mail to you, but I doubt this will fix the problem - Mike |
