hi, ive been offered a tomtom one, about 14 mnths old, in good cosmetice condition, powers up fine, but wont see the sd card, do you think it just needs tomtom putting back on the sd card, its orignal software, or do these units suffer from this problem and is it less easily fixed?
many thanks

Firstly, you've posted in the wrong forum, so I hope a mod spots this and moves it for you...
Secondly, there is no "original software" on the SD card - the SD card contains the maps though, so is an important part of the unit, and without a working SD card slot, the unit is likely to be worthless. Personally, given the price of refurbished TomTom units (which will come with a warranty), I would ignore it - the cost of repair is likely to be higher than a new refurbished unit. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums.
