Hi Folks,
just wanted to know if there are any stores/shops that stock ttn2 and map software.? ive called maplin but they advise a 2 weeks waiting time for delivery from head office.
Just wanted to know if any other stores sell the maps and software really.
been into pcworld but they only sell the software with pda`s not on its own.
Cheers

There's plenty of good mail order (or order over Internet) options - just look at the sponsors of this site.
Is there a particular reason why you want to buy in a "bricks and mortar" shop?

My personal experience with globalpositioningsystems.co.uk is that they said they had stock for next day delivery online, and the next morning the postman wanted a signature for a Special Delivery package.
You will have to pay extra for Next Day Delivery - but what would your costs be in driving some distance to buy a copy over the counter?

well i finally couldnt hold back any longer i had to have ttnv2 europe maps, so headed off for sheffield meadowhall
went into dixons (they only sell ttnv2 with pda`s as a package etc)
aswell as some other stores, only to be told the same, they advised pcworld in sheffield sold the software, so i hit navigate to poi, and went to pcworld, they too also sell the software (with gps) not without on its own, and dont offer other map software.
so after a few hours cursing all these stores, i finally have ordered from globalpositioningsystems.co.uk and it should arrive tues before 9am :-)
think this will teach me not to be so eager , but i did also get a gr8 deal on a cannon digi camcorder from currys...its a cracker. 5 years full warranty for only £90.!
cheers
Nick
p.s i may have found a niche.! tomtom store would i be popular.? |
