Hi everyone,

Just bought a new N60i (Costco, £195) and I'm having a few problems with SmartST 2006 SE on Windows Vista Ultimate.

Problem 1, When I try to do as the manual says and select "check for offers" to download my free camera update the SmartST says it cannot connect to the server and asks for proxy details. I'm not using a proxy server and have turned off Kaspersky AV's firewall and my router is set up as Navman say but I still can't connect, any ideas?

Problem 2, I can download POI's to the N60i including Wav's and BMP's but I cannot seem to edit them, i.e. load them back off the N60i and edit the file then save it back. The only way seems to be to overwrite the file with a new one. Is this correct? I can list the custom POI's on the N60i but selecting them does nothing.

And a couple of questions....

When you first switch on your N60i (With SP2 update) what version of the software does yours show on the screen.

Does the SmartST software require activation? I realise Maps require activation but what about the software, I have noticed a few menu items are greyed out (like "setup Navman"), is this normal?

BTW, problem 1 is not really a problem viz speedcams as I have subscribed to the PGPS World database but I'd just like to know if the problem is with me or Navman.com.

Regards, Jeff.

Don't have access to my Navman n40i now, but as I remember it, everytime you want to change POIs you overwrite not edit, so you're right on that one, and it is the mapping that is product key activated

Many thanks for the reply, answers most of my questions and I've found the version number I am seeing is the latest so all ok there too.
Smile
