I've just spent all evening trying to get my new mobile to connect to Tomtom plus only to find that it is not yet available in my region. It worked OK with my old phone this afternoon.
Is the traffic service down or are my settings still not right? |

Thank you. I'm relieved it's not just me. It means my settings are probably OK. |

I've had 2 long conversations with TomTom customer service today and it appears there's a corrupt file on my device. Both agents have promised to email me a fix - one within 10 mins the second withing 1/2 hour. Neither have appeared yet and it's nearly 2 hours since the second call. |

Nash,
They also sending me this file now in about 30 tom tom minutes which I think is the same one that they said they were sending you although they are sending it to my TOM TOM HOME account on the internet and not my email address.
If you haven't already done so I would have a look on there mate.

It didnt work.

Wayhey got it working.
After you install the new file you need to do a paperclip reset then go onto your tom tom account on the website and click on reset traffic account and bobs your uncle |

Thanks. I got the traffic.dat file eventually and did as you suggest but it didn't work for me. I still don't have an Uncle Bob |

Thanks to your suggestion to "play with it" I have now succeeded in fixing it. Traffic started working again after I selected "Edit my TomTom plus account" on the device.
Apart from eventually sending the file 2 days after they said they would, CS have been no help. No wonder they have such a bad reputation. |
