TomTom ONE w/ Navcore 7 update

Hi everyone. I'm new here and own a One New Edition (v2 I think).
I've update my One to Navcore v7.12 and it seems to work ok. Maybe it takes a little longer to get s sat fix, but otherwise works ok.
Have only one issue which is when the device boots up it forgets the previous settings and starts at 100% brightness.
Also happens when I choose for the device to turn off between instructions. Any users have this problem or ideas how to fix it?

Tried contacting TomTom support, but haven't had an answer from them.

You're lucky - v7 turned my TomTom One into a very expensive paperweight.
Luckily it still talked to my PC so I was able to do a restore back to the previous version.
Am awaiting a response from their user support but based on what I see from the net I'll be lucky if I get a useful response from them.

found it !!!!!!

Version 7 does not like the traffic reporting from version 6...

Delete the traffic.* files from the map directory i took me a couple of hours deleting and moving files.......but that did it for me.....if i put the files back....its locks at splash screen...

then let TTHome update traffic info
