Got my 720 today and seem to have most things up and running (having read lots of posts). One question thou. I have got the iPod link cables (1 data plus 1 audio) so I can play/control my iPod from my GO, the data cable allows me to select tracks skip, pause etc... but I don't get any output from either my car speakers or the GO speaker. Do I need to use the 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack lead to get audio out of my Ipod? I thought it should play through the GO speaker with just the data lead, and was hoping that the GO would also be able to transmit the sound to my stereo via the FM transmitter. Any iPod related help would be appreciated. I have a Nano 2nd Gen. |

I have the older iPod link cable that just connects iPod to the GO. This allows remote control of the iPod and access to playlists etc from the GO screen and with that I can pipe audio either out of the 720 or via FM to the radio. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have not seen any single cable iPod kits (but have only been looking over the past week or so). Seems you have acheived what I wanted to ie use your TT as an iTrip device with a single lead to allow control over the iPod. Must be possible - I want to have fewer leads trailing over my dash not more!
Thanks for your help
Cheers

I may have mislead you a bit, mine was a pre-release sampler but it is this cable which I see actually comes with an audio lead.
It works fine on my iPod and 720, have you selected the speaker preferences in 'change preferences'? _________________ Darren Griffin |
