It doesn't happen to often
I was going to bath so i typed in the postcode i looked at the route where it was sending me,it wasn't the route i would normally take,as it would be little bit longer, the route would also take me through the city centre
but if i did it my way i would of took a quicker route where it would bypass the city center
i went the way the tom had planned, the journey was fine
when i was comming home it planned the route that i would normally do
Also i went to weymouth and when i got into Weymouth it took me through the town to my destination
when i left it took me a quicker way out of Weymouth which bypassed most of the town centre
does this happen to you |

When you arrive at your destination you are facing the same way, so it will route you from there, which may be quicker than directing you around the block and back to where you had just started.
Next time let it set it's own route then do a u-turn, or turn round, so it re-routes and see what happens.
Usually happens when one ways or dual carriageways are part of route. |

I understand what you mean.
But when it took me to Bath the route was planned so it took me on the motorway
but on the way back it took me through the countryside and a bit of the motorway |

navigation is done based on distances and penalties. A left turn is one penalty, a right turn is three penalties etc. Penalties translate into additional distances (basically how far you could have gotten in the time you wait for the turn).
Thus it is very normal that return journeys may take different routes. _________________ Lutz
