Hi,
They have an updated congestion charge POI on this website. Look in the single POIs Page 2.

Just to be clear...The avoid toll roads instruction is part of the actually map release not the Ov2? Hmmm So the revised Ov2...Is that just the additional extension or the whole zone including the extension - Will i need to keep the original poi or replace it
Also, If i for example i aviod toll roads that go part way of the journey but now goes thru the new zone, I guess i will then have to b on my P's&Q's and keep an eye out for roads I can actually turn down as oppose to roads the tomtom is suggesting - What a nightmare |

I just did a test from where I live to West Square in London and got a warning Toll Charge. Maybe because I have the 'C' charge in my warn when near, maybe not. But it works when you first set a route so will get the option to avoid. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

There are two completely different things going on here...
The map data includes the area for the original congestion zone as a Toll area. The Go/One will automatically alert you if it will go through the area when you first plan the route, and give you the opportunity to re-route around it if possible..
The POI files that people have created on the other hand, will only alert you as you approach them (like any POI), so you will not get the "Warning - Toll Charge" alert for the new part of the zone.
More importantly, there is no way that I can think of to ask the TomTom to avoid the whole area in planning a route, as you can only avoid one POI at a time.
I don't know what others think, but although I can just about accept the many "normal" map errors, unfortunately it seems TomTom simply couldn't be bothered to include the extension to the zone in the new maps (there is no other word for it, as the information was available long before they were released).
If they cared about their customers TomTom really should offer a free upgrade to include this extension to the Congestion charge zone and also the awful mis-routing of the major section of the A1. |

Thanks for clearing that up - Tomtom really screwed up here - The entension as a poi only is pointless for me...The point of my satnav is cos I dont know the way...No point dodging POI's when I dont even know where I'm going - Ha! |

I think I got it wrong.

Yes of course, I'd forgotten that. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

I've a Mio with Tom Tom on it. Is there any way I can get the new congestion zone on it to replace the original one.

Hi, welcome
I think I'm right in saying that the latest maps do include the whole zone (original + extension), obviously it's going to cost you _________________ Mike

Knowing what I paid for the last lot might be better for me to buy a new system!

Yes, and they do "know" about the free routes through the zone. |
