Hi Guys
I've recently purchased a Tomtom Go 910 and it was working fine until last night.
Its doing something really strange.
When I'm presented with the main menu, it automatically highlights the lower right option (which is the 'next menu' button).
When I click on 'Navigate To', the screen highlights to show that I have pressed the button but it won't actually select it. In fact, I cannot select many of the options. It will only allow me to cycle through the menu and not select a destination.
When connected to Tomtom home, I can pre-plan my journey but when it comes to actually using the Navigation system, I can't select the 'navigate to' button to choose a recent destination or itinery????
I've used a paper clip to reset the device but it has made no difference. Before I restore with tomtom home, I was wondering whether there was any other option available?
Appreciate any advice you guys may have.

Sounds like a touch screen issue. Sometimes dust gets trapped under the screen edges and gives just theses symptoms. This 'may' resolve the problem, worth a try:
Power off, give screen a gentle clean, using a thin piece of card or paper, slide it gently under the bezel surrounding the screen and slide it round the entire screen edge. Be gentle, don't force anything, you're just trying to dislodge any dust that may be hiding under the screen edge, particularly at the bottom right in your case. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Aha, thanks for that. I'll give it a try when I get home tonight.
I did buy a screen protector for it and it was too big, so I had to cut it to size. Come to think of it, I think the bottom of the screen may have a few air bubbles and the dust may be lodged there.
Thanks again, I'll let you know of the outcome! _________________ Tomtom 1.6 on iPhone 3GS

It may be that the protector is just touching the bezel at the bottom right. _________________ Richard

It was an issue with the protector.
Had to peel back and re-apply.
Thanks for the advice guys :-) _________________ Tomtom 1.6 on iPhone 3GS
