|
|
Hi,
My brother and I each own a Nuvi 350 (Europe).
We both travel to the US and were thinking of buying this product :
MapSource City Navigator North America NT
between us to save on cost.
I have some questions that someone maybe able to answer:
- Would it be advisable to get the DVD or SD card version ?
-If we got the SD version would it be swappable between each of our units or would we have to register the product to just one unit?
-If we got either product is there a way of backing it up so that we could use 2 units at the same time, one using the orignal and the other using the backup?
Thanks in advance for you advise and recommendations.

The DVD can only be used on the PC and one unit.
The DVD allows you to plan your visits on the PC.
There is a very recent version so make sure you are buying this year's version.
The cheapest option is a 'manipulated' MetroGuide! You can both load it to the PC and both units! |

The SD vesrion would be swappable between the units. The files can be copied from it but they won't work on a different card. I am not aware of a way of using a backup. |

thanks for the replies......
I guess as long as we are not in the US at the same time(which is unlikely) the best option would be to get the SD card and share it as required on our respective GPS units.
Thanks again
