|
|
I have just updated my software via TT Home.
I now have the following
App 6.560
OS 1713
GPS v1.21
Boot 5.05
GB Map v605.0
Thing is I made a back up of my TT and the program or my pc crashed and I have had to reinstall it and have lost the backup. Now, here's the problem.
I used to be able (on old software) to do a full 7 digit postcode search, now it will only let me do a 3 digit search and I have to manually enter in the remainder of the address. Can anyone help me get the rest of the postcode search function working.
Thanks Penky |

You need to have a file called "Great_Britain.Postal" in your Zip folder. |

It is normally supplied with a new map purchase.
As it is copyright to the Post Office, TomTom are usually a bit twitchy about giving it out to anyone. Suggest you ring (not email) TT customer services.
Have you actually done a search of your entire hard drive to see if the file name above is hiding anywhere?
And make sure you have more than one backup in different places next time! |

make a top level folder on the TT called zip (not Zip)
Put the postal file in it. |
