advice on gps device

hello
im trying to figure out what kind of hand held gps device will suit my needs:
-own about 50ac. of wooded, hilly terrain, and would like to be able to plot the bounderies on a topo map. be able to walk the land and know that i am within the bounderies. maybe even use a computer program to evaluate different areas of timber
-do alot of hiking, atv riding, and trail riding in state parks
-a compass is a must
-and of course a street/highway map
i am from the states. i have looked at the rino 530, like the weather station along with the walkie capability. however i would like to hear about any other devices either from personal experiences or just something to research. thanks for any and all advice

Have a look at the Delorme website. They have some surveying gear. Not cheap though... Trimble is worth a visit as well.
