The problem with getting old and being a virtual beginner is that you are either slow on the uptake or miss the bus completely. Would someone explain very slowly how one uses the IR port on this device and what really is the purpose of it !!

It can be used for very slow file transfer between devices equipped with said IR port, or you can use it to control your TV, video, Sky box etc with additional application softare. If you really want to miss behave you can even use it in the local pub to change channels on the big screen TV when the football is on - just don't get caught!!!
To be honest IrDA has long since had its day, its too slow to be of much use - Mike
