Have I done something wrong to be excluded from the PM facility?
Am I doing something wrong?
If I try to send a private message, the message goes into the 'Outbox' and stays there, but does not make it as far as the 'Sent box' - even after a few days.
I click on the 'Submit' button as I would expect, but the message doesn't seem to leave my 'Outbox'
Any assistance would be gratefully received _________________ Andy

The message stays in your Outbox until the other party reads it, at which point it moves into your Sent box. _________________ Tim |

Thanks, Tim, I've never noticed before.
I assumed that the system was like e-mail, where the message leaves the outbox as soon as its sent and then it appears in the sent box.
Perhaps I might try again more patiently and give the recipient more time to read it. _________________ Andy

Think of it as a 'Read' receipt, although thatere's no guarantee that the OP has actually read it, just that they've had it displayed on their screen. _________________ Tim |

Until I deleted it today, I had one outgoing PM(a long reply to a specific technical question) that I sent in February and had never been read... |

I have six there; one from Nov '05, one each from Jan, Feb and Mar '06 and two from this year. _________________ Tim |

How they must have been waiting in anticipation for your every word of wisdom. ;)
I now delete any that have not been picked up after 4 months. That's to allow for a very long holiday. _________________ Richard
