The user guide for the navman icn 510 states that i can download and install cameras onto the icn 510. When i try to install them my icn 510 tells me that i have no memory. when i contacted navman directly they told me that the icn 510 does support cameras but i have to download a feature first. They were not very helpful in explaining what this is. Can anybody help please.

Hi
I also have an ICN510 and initially had problems.
If you follow the Pocket GPS World install guide for Navman I find it does not quite work.
Firstly you need to check the space available on your Navman - if you use the Smart ST software that comes with the ICN510 you can check the space available on your SD card (the little card that goes in the end of the ICN510). The original card has very little space on it. If you have all the UK/irish maps loaded there is not enough room for the speed cameras.

I have replaced the original SD card with a 512MB SD card (very cheap from www.ebuyer.com) which has loads of space. You can remove some of the maps on the original card (ireland/scotland if you don't go/live there!) and create space but not ideal if you travel a lot round the UK.
Next - when you download the speed cameras they are in .asc files which is not a problem except that they need to be edited before they can be used by the ICN510. I use Notepad which comes free with Windows and open each .ASC file in turn.
You need to delete the top and bottom lines of the files (the bits with Lat/long & the 'control' lines) and then save the file. If you use these edited files with the POI function of the Smart ST software they load fine. Once you have done this a few times it is relatively easy! I think that the Navman speed camera downloads file format has changed slightly as I only used to delete the lat long line at the top of the file and I now have to delete the 'control' lines.

Hope this helps...
