Theres a few cameras on the database near me that were temp camera in a van on the side of the road jobs.
Is there a way I can report this so they are removed from the database? |

Firstly are you sure they are Temp camera locations or could they be Mobile locations?
Temp cameras are usually used for road works, mobile sites opperate using vans parked on the side of the road, they are not there 100% of the time, the idea is to know where they operate from. If you know a mobile site that is nolonger used please use the camera submissions page (its just below the speed camera download section so scroll down to find it) - please use the comments box to include as much information as possible with the amendments - Mike |

Ok, bad wording on my part, mobile sites are local to me..
I can see the point of having them in the database then as they have been spotted there before so the idea is to keep them in the database incase they get used again..
What would be useful would be something that coudl be assigned to a button on my Axim that recorded the co-ords at the time it was pressed and then later that data could be added to the database using the submit function. |

You don't say what you are using on the Dell. ;) _________________ Richard

Two things...
Are you using the all-in-one-file version of the database? If so you won't be able to tell whether an alert is for a mobile site or just wrong. If you use one of the other options (consolidated by type or speed-zoned) you can set up different alerts so you are told and shown what sort of site to expect.
Secondly, guessing it might be TomTom running on your Axim, the easiest way to log a position is just "Add Favourite" followed by "GPS Position" (which is on the second page). That will save the exact spot where you tapped the second trime. |

Yeah its TomTom6, picked up a 2nd hand dell from ebay with that and the dell gps software on it and the speedcam database, will probably stick with tomtom as it has the postcode search and the speedcam info on it.. |
