It can take some time, and will appear to have stop responding. Leave it longer, and see what happens. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

Aren't you supposed to unzip the files before you try to use them? |

Right, try moving all the files out of the directory you currently have the POIs in, except 1 POI file (and preferably a small file). If this fails, there is something more fundamentally wrong with your Windows setup, preventing POI Loader from working.
If it works, then copy the files back, and then leave it until it completes.
Exactly which files do you have in the directory? eg do you have the POI Loader version of the speed database, or the speed zoned version? Do you have any files in that directory? _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

The Files in the Nuvi 300 Poi Folder are: Poi.gpi 2,719 kb gpi file and Safety_camera_united kingdom gpi file 552 kb.
I have even tried loading the Poi loader on a new Laptop using Win Vista and the same problem occurs so is my Nuvi 300 the problem.
Web Updater works just fine and i have the latest software ver 4.40. |

Ah - you've listed the files in the POI directory on the Nuvi - I'm after what files are in the directory you have pointed POI Loader to...
Also, you appear to have a 2.7Mb POI.GPI file on your Nuvi, which implies it has copied some POIs to the unit. If you try my trick of removing all but one .csv file from the initial source directory, and try building this up you should find the amount of time it takes to create the full POI file.
Personally, I think you do just simply need to leave it longer... _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

The files or file that i pointed the nuvi to are speed cam files from this site and are gpx files. I am now not sure if i should use these but i think they have worked before. |

You should either be using the "POI Loader" format or the "Speed Zoned" format, these are the only two I would expect to work on a Nuvi. Try using the POI Loader format and then see if it works (although please delete the other files from your PC directory). _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |
