I have an HP IPAQ hx2490 running Tomtom Navigator 6. Everything is fine except that the volume is very quiet even on 100%. Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way it is. Thanks for any ideas. |

I have the same problem but got around it by buying one of the windscreen mounts and amplifier that is advertised on the PDA mods site to the right of this. If you want the actual site address then PM me and I will send it to you. Cheers |

It could be the volume of the device is insufficiant, but can you check the actual PDA volume setting before launching TomTom, if that is set low TomTom will not control the PDA you will be limited to the volume set by the PDA - worth checking that the PDA is set to 100% then adjust the level within TomTom to suit before bothering with amplification - Mike |

Thank you. Quick click on the speaker icon at the top of the screen, adjust to 100% and problem solved.
Easy when someone tells you how!!
