The XDA II supports TomTom 1 as a program. Your problem will more be in the kind of GPS receiver you are planning to use. TomTom 1 was conceived before the broad acceptance of BlueTooth receivers., and the BT COM port may not be visible in the TomTom GPS applet. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for the help!
I was using my bluetooth globalsat GPS with TomTom 1 on my iPaq 3970, but now want to upgrade to an XDA2 but with using the same software and GPS.
Is it then okay?
Cheers

Should be ok then. Just make sure you install the BT patch for the XDA II. _________________ Lutz

I'd be concerned about using TomTom Navigator 1 on the XDA II - because the XDA II is a Pocket PC 2003 machine and Navigator 1 isn't officially Pocket PC 2003 compatible. Someone that tried Navigator 1 on a Pocket PC 2003 machine (I think it was an upgraded Dell Axim X5) appeared to hit trouble - though he hadn't got the latest 1.53 version (it seems that the 1.53 upgrade is no longer available from the TomTom site). I can't find the forum thread on this.
GPS wise, if you install GPS 2.09 (which I normally don't recommend, but I would in the case of an XDA II) it should install the necessary support for a Bluetooth GPS. I believe that's the whole point of the Bluetooth DLLs in the TomTom Wizard component that I'm usually so unhappy about. I don't think you need the unofficial patch in this case.
