I am new to POIs and I do understand the differences between the Combined and Separete POI files but was wondering what the main benifits of each is.
Thanks

If you have a Combined Category, it will only count as 1 POI, instead of several individual POIs.
As there is a limited number that can be loaded onto a Device, this might help if you are using a multi-country Map and need extra POIs.
The single version will be slightly quicker to search through. _________________ Richard

Thanks for the quick response.
Thanks kinda what I though but just wanted to confirm. Thanks
You mentioned that "There is a limited number of POIs that can be loaded onto a Device" Does anyone happen to know how many that is for a Medion PNA175 loaded with TomTom 5? Also having a device fully loaded with POIs, can this affect the performance of the unit?
Thanks again

TT5 has a limit of 39.
If you have them Enabled it will slow down the Map re-draw.
Warn When Near doesn't impose the same overhead of processing. ;) _________________ Richard
