GM270 problem

Hi

I'm wondering if anyone can offer some advice on an issue I have with my GM270.

It's just over 2 years old and was working OK i.e. it would track 10 or so satellites when using it with TomTom 5 on my iPAQ 2210

Recently it has started having trouble seeing more than 4 satellites and sometimes it just hangs with no fix and only two satellites showing any signal. Removing it from the PDA and reinserting helps but it never gets more than 4 satellites. I have an external antena for it and that is no better. It displays the same symptoms with GPS Viewer and TomTom.

I've tried Holux UK for support as I bought it directly from them but their telephone numbers seem to be dead, the online help is always offline and there's no email address to write to.

Any ideas?

Problem seemed to sort itself out with some regular use but I decided to get a BT GPS instead so went for a Rikaline 6033. Seems pretty good so far
