I've downloaded the latest alerts but I can't seem to get them to show up in the POI category, so that I can enable them, I've installed the downloaded files into the western Europe map folder.
What have I done wrong. |

Check how many ov2 files you actually have in the map folder, if its over 100 (TT version 6) or 39 (TT version 5) you will need to remove some other POI categories due to the limits the software has - Mike |

No I've not got to many.
In TT home the files show on the right hand window and they are definately on the SD card.
I'm running 6.150 |

You ARE talking about the speed cams from here & not TT's own ones I guess? |

Do they show up when you go to Change preference/ manage POI/ Warn When Near POI ? - try a reset of the device and check again as long as the files are present as actual files in the map folder (not in a folder of their own) they should appear - Mike |

They don't show up in any POI category at all.
I installed 5 ov2 files and 5 bitmap images.
I've reset the device & that didn't work, its a 300.
I've not had this prob before. |

nascar9 As thebinman suggests have you downloaded the safety camera data from TomTom or from this GPS site? The TT ones are not processed as POI's whilst the GPS ones are. Thats about all that I know the experts will tell you more when you let them know where you downlaoded from. |

I have two map folders one for western Europe and one for GB.
I installed the files in the European folder, could that be the prob.
Maybe they should be in the GB folder. |

You need to put the POI files in the active map folder that you are using, the fact you have two maps is probably the answer to your problem, simply copy them accross to the other folder as well and configure them, then it doesn't matter which map you have selected - you will still get the important warnings - Mike |

I think I've sorted it.
I switched from the GB maps to Western Europe under manage maps and there are the POI's, but still no signal.
The instructions I downloaded seemed to say that the files could be installed in iether map folder, maybe this isn't the case.
I get a signal and see what happens. |

Good news. Basically you need to add them to all/any map folder you are going to use so in your case, add them to BOTH map folders. |
