hi there
new to all this gps malarky so seeking some advice please. id like to dowload the poi's on this site to my tom tom. however it downloads all the items as separate poi categorys (eg best western hotels category, travelodge sategory).

is there any way i can download the hotels (for example) and have them all listed under 1 poi category on my tom tom (ie acomodation) so that i dont use all of my 100 available poi categorys?

On the downloads page, did you select the "Combine subcategories into category file" option?

You can also try here: http://www.poihandler.com

You have to register but it's free, and when you come to download you can select to do so as a single file.....
